I got to test out two new phones yesterday. A Sony Ericsson W200i and a Nokia 3110 classic. Both phone is priced below RM 1000. I have made a few comparison and sadly to say, Nokia 3110 classic top Sony Ericsson W200i. Here’s why.
Sony Ericsson W200i a 101 x 44 x 18 mm weighing at 85 g and it available with two colours which is Rythm Black and Pulse White while Nokia 3110 classic is a 108.5 x 45.7 x 15.6 mm and weighing 87 g and only available in Black colour only. Both phone is using the same 128×160 pixel screen display. Both phone has flight mode function and comes with a built-in FM radio.
Sony Ericsson W200i is equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera (VGA) with infra-red, USB support cable and Sony Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™) while Nokia 3110 classic is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera with infra-red, bluetooth, USB port and microSD card. Being a Walkman phone, Sony Ericsson W200i has a superb sound and it comes with a MegaBass™ function to enhance bass frequencies and give the music more body. As for Nokia 3110 classic, it’s speakers is not as bad too.
The only reason why I love Sony Ericsson W200i is because flash themes support. The flash themes can change the menu icons, and even the way the menu look. Which is so cool. Other than that, it’s just so cool to use a Sony Ericsson phones. Hahah…
I have to say that Nokia 3110 classic is a worth to buy phone. It fits all criteria of a simple affordable phone with maximum functions for connectivity. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m giving Nokia 3110 classic a 9/10 and Sony Ericsson W200i a 6/10 (10 being the highest). Huhu!

i bought 3110 phone first but then i returned it in exchange for sony ericsson w200i bec of its poor fm function and headphone defect .. it is prominent still in that 3110 model.. moreover the camera even being 1.3 mp takes poor picture compared to other.. i recommend caution to others before buying 3110 model

Thanks, I just got the w200i a few days back and now learned the difference, thanks i didnt get the 3110. I am going to blast my head with the MegaBass feature!!!

WELL…i have tried both d phones….currently usin w200i…
i give w200i 8/10 , i am deducin 2 marks bcoz it doesnt have A bluetooth n a gud pixel camera…
n 2 3110 i give 8.5/10….d reason i am deducin 1.5 marksis coz its sound quality in not as koooool as w200i…
W200i MEGABASS FEATURE JUST ROCKSSSS!!!!
