To cause to behave or move nervously or restlessly.n.
1. A condition of restlessness as manifested by nervous movements. Often used in the plural with the.
2. One that fidgets.[From obsolete and dialectal fidge, to move restlessly, perhaps from Middle English fiken, of Scandinavian origin.]
Someone said I was fidgeting. I didn’t know what it was really until I google it. Ok maybe I move or fiddle a lot. I’m not doing anything bad am I? But it could be annoying. Maybe?
But I also found this, Fidgeting Helps Separate the Lean From the Obese, Study Finds. It says
“Strolling to the bus stop, fidgeting during a meeting, standing up to stretch, jumping off the couch to change channels, and engaging in other minor physical activities can make the difference between being lean and obese, researchers reported yesterday.“
Maybe I am or maybe I’m not. Fidgeting is not bad after all. I also found, Wiggle While You Work: Fidgeting May Fight Fat. It says
“People who are obese “couch potatoes” sit more and walk less than thin “couch potatoes” — and that may be key to obesity, a new study finds.
Researchers at the Mayo Clinic carefully tracked the movements and calorie-intake of 10 obese and 10 thin study participants. They found that overweight people burned 350 fewer calories a day because they sat for 150 minutes more a day than did thin people, who tended to be more fidgety during their daily activities.“
Written in January 2005. Good old news is never bad news. Haha…
No wonder I never gain much weight. Many have asked how do I keep in shape. I guess from now on I’m just gonna say, Fidget like the Maggot. Hahaha..
Selamat Berpuasa to all Muslim around the globe. Cheers!
