How does one do the wrong thing the right way? Wait a minute. The wrong this is a WRONG thing to do. lol No, I’m not talking about the wrong thing being a bad thing. Not to us. But to our company. Maybe not you. But yours truly.

Everyone works to get money but how much more can you earn if you work hard at the office? But since you’re a designer, you have the option to do freelance work. But! I have a feeling employers don’t like the idea of us freelancing. Would you? As a boss.

Hence the doing the wrong thing would result to a bad thing such as you being dismissed from the company or maybe not that bad. But the point is, this is rather hazardous for it may interfere with our daily routine.

A friend of mine went for a job brief with a high profile company last week. He told me during the meeting, the client asked if they were freelances or working full time with a company. The other guy said that he is on his own but my friend had no choice but to tell the truth.

The client was concern about the development process for he requires the person to work closely with the programmers. Which means he has to work from the client’s office. Ain’t that a bitch?!

I guess we have to be fair. We are paid monthly to work for our employer. If you need to do freelance job, make sure that whatever you do doesn’t interfere with your work. Don’t work hard. Work smart!

Plan your daily schedule so you can accommodate time to work and have proper rest the next morning. Which means don’t work till late at night because you might lightly be late for work next day.

Work with someone who can meet freely on weekends. Someone who knows that you’re working full time and just looking for extra pocket money. Or find a proxy. Someone who owns a small company. Or whatever. Always put your company as your priority. After all they’re the ones paying you monthly.

I on the other hand wants more than to do freelance. I’m looking at doing online business. I am still browsing for info and doing research so that I’m on the right track. I will announce it in due time. Oh yeah, I also accept donations from paypal. lol…
