Have you ever been in a situation where you’re completely clueless and dumbfounded at the same time? One minute she was all over you and the next she gives you the silent treatment. WTF?

I met Farah during her visit to the office. She and her classmates from a local university came to do a study on the company I’m working with. A few days later she added me on facebook. We exchanged messages but it was purely work/study related.

A few months after I bumped into her in a club in Kuala Lumpur. We hit it off easy and then later had supper together with her friends. Soon after that we started exchanging SMS. I kinda like the flow of how things are going so I would call her on the way back from work or call her while she drives home all the way to Klang. We were getting to know each other.

We had our first kiss after watching our first movie when I walked her to her car. I’m not sure if I’m ready to take it to the next level but I’m gonna play it cool. One day she asked if it’s okay for her to change her status on facebook to being in a relationship with me. I said let’s not do that just yet. I’m not sure if this was a wise answer.

So to cut the story short. One day her handphone was turned off. The only way to get in touch with her was to go online. So I went online and there I saw her status. It was as if the message was delivered directly to me. It says, “I’m so sorry. I’m just not ready.”

I SMS her saying that I saw her status and I told her that I don’t understand but I think I can. She then replied saying that she’s happier being single with her friends (who by the way are not single). My last message to her was “It was a pleasure knowing you, Farah Idham. You take care”.

The moral of the story is simple. Never date someone who use their friends as an excuse. No, that was not what I meant. I think relationship works better when both party talks to one another. Being ready or not means we shouldn’t rush into things. The least we could do is to take things slower.

It’s probably too late now. I deleted her contact and her pictures from my phone. I don’t want to to call her suddenly when I’m out drinking with friends. Problem is, I remember her number by heart. FML.

p/s- I think I should delete her from my friends list. I’m afraid I might stalk her. LOL…

Twitter is a micro-blogging service which allows user to send and receive messages known as tweets. Many tweet for many several reasons. Some tweet to update their friends on what’s going around them and sharing cool stuff, like where to shop. Celebrities tweet to update their fans on their new upcoming events and activities. Companies also tweet to get to their customers. And all that for FREE!

In order to tweet, one must be able to be online or has mobile connectivity. I use Tweetdeck to send and receive my tweets. Tweetdeck is an application build using Flash Air and has recently released a new version which enables multiple twitter account. Good for those tweeting for work and personal.

I also use TwitterFox to tweet while browsing the internet. Twitter fox runs on Mozilla Firefox as an Extension. I started tweeting using TwitterFox before switching to Tweetdeck.

Technology is God. Now with the technology of Blackberry and iPhone, one can tweet on the go. Unfortunately I’m not a fan. Lucky me Tiny Twitter is available for Java enabled phones. Works perfectly well with my Sony Ericsson S500i.

Internet/GPRS charges may apply if you’re using this application. Oh yeah, if you’re not on plan, you may wanna check the UI setting first before you update your tweets. I learned that the hard way. Lol…

The Day World Went Away

Anger. Fury. Rage. A familiar feeling? I know. I go through it too. Sometimes you feel down especially when you can’t do anything about it. You bottled it inside and swallow hard every time it gets to you. You feel like shit. So what do you do when shit happens?

Which religion are you? Lol…

You have to release the tension your system. And laughter is always a good medicine. Enjoy a good laugh by browsing through funny websites or watch some comedy. Works for me.

You could pamper yourself with a quick trip for a body massage. I was fortunate enough to be have gotten a free 1/2 hour back message. It made my day. If you’re attached, why not ask your other half to give you a back rub. Don’t know how? Learn! How? Google it.

Deal with it! If you can’t do anything about it, do something about it. Try work your way around it. It won’t get you anywhere whining about it out loud and throwing your tantrums. Which eventually will get the best of you.

Take a break. Got for a holiday in the island. I wish I was in Pulau Perhentian. I’ve never been there. I heard the water is crystal clear and you can see baby sharks swimming right under you at the snorkeling site.

Or you can talk to someone. Every now and then you need a shoulder to cry on. Find someone with a good listening ear. If you have no one to talk to then listen to music. Music is always good for the soul. I used to jam with my friends after college. It was a great screaming my lungs out to Metallica’s Seek And Destroy.

Don’t keep it bottled up in you. Life is short. Make the best out of each and every day ahead of you.

I couldn’t be bothered about this until recently. I had to design a few flash banner and the requirement was to have a 1 pixel border with #333333 stroke color. Cis!

So I gave it a try. Did a quick 300×250 pixel banner and wallah!

Notice the missing border on the right? I found out how to get it to work. The one below is being treated and currently all four sides of the borders is showing. How did I do it?

The solution is rather simple.

Open your swf file. Assuming that your border is 300×250 pixel with a 1 pixel stroke.

Change the stroke size to 2 pixel. I use #333333 as my border color. On your align palette, click on the align “To stage” and align top edge and left edge. If the setting is correct, your X and Y setting should be set to 0.0.

Go back to your scene. Click on your border layer and align top edge and left edge. Be sure to click “To stage” so the border will align with the stage. Duh!

Publish your flash and you’re done! Yay!

* Right-click on the .dm file and click on “Send to mobile”
* On your phone display appears a message like, would you like to install the theme?.

* Open MyPhoneExplorer
* Connect MyPhoneExplorer and your mobile
* Left on MPE you see Files, go there and on the top click, “Java upload”
* Switch Filetype on “All Files”

I told my masseur to concentrate on my left shoulder and my lower back.

Surprisingly I didn’t pass wind throughout the whole session. It’s quite weird because the last time I had a body massage in Koh Samui, I was burping and even passing wind. With permission that is. Haha..

RM50 for one and a half hour full body massage. I feel rejuvenated. I feel brand new!!

I love Shark Fin Soup! I get very excited every time I’m invited to a Chinese wedding. Simply because normally Chinese wedding serves Shark Fin Soup. Sixthseal wrote a post on Shark Fin Soup and I had to give it a try.

Shark’s Fin Noodle is located at Ming Tien food court. I’ve been here a couple of times but not recently. The price is amazingly cheap. A big bowl of Shark Fin Noodle is only RM5.50. I ordered the big bowl.

There is three noodle type to choose from. I’m not sure what type are those but I recognize the one on the left. It’s those you call “Mee Tikus” because the shape resembles the tip of a rat’s tail. Haha…

I ordered the original noodle which is on the right.

For a dish that cost RM5.50, the Shark’s Fin Soup is absolutely tasty. The texture is almost similar to the ones I normally ate at Chinese wedding. I’m definitely coming back for more. With more friends of coz. Lol…
